10th International Conference on e-Identification and Trust Services
ZEIDES 2026
The Slovenian Association for Electronic Identification and Trust Services (EIDES Association), in cooperation with Palsit d.o.o., is organizing the 10th anniversary international conference on e-identification and e-trust services, ZEIDES 2026, on October 15, 2026, at the Brdo Congress Center.
The ZEIDES conference was established at the start of the eIDAS Regulation’s implementation to raise awareness of electronic identification solutions and trust services for electronic transactions.
As with the previous nine conferences, this year’s program will address topics in electronic identification and trust services, as well as related areas such as information security and personal data protection.
This year’s conference will focus on:
Final preparations for the launch and use of the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUIDW);
The proposal for a new regulation on the European Business Wallet (EBW), which will enable businesses and other legal entities to securely identify, authenticate, and exchange data with full legal effect and trust across the EU;
The update of eIDAS 2.0 requirements for the remote identification of individuals to whom a qualified certificate is issued, without the individual’s physical presence at the identification point;
Remote identification and customer due diligence procedures under AMLR as a model sectoral regulation for electronic identification at the EU level;
Remote electronic signature as the potentially most common trust service;
The new service for issuing and verifying electronic attribute certificates and the importance of establishing an ecosystem for the use of these certificates in connection with EUIDW and EBW;
Ensuring compliance of providers of qualified and non-qualified trust services—as essential or significant entities under ZInfV-1—with the requirements of this law;
Processing biometric data within personal identification and authentication procedures in accordance with SUVP and ZVOP-2;
Managing AI threats or risks (such as synthetic identities, deepfake attacks, and automated fraud) in the implementation of electronic identification and/or trust services;
Practical examples and best practices in electronic identification and trust services.
The conference will conclude with a roundtable discussion titled “Remote Trust: Regulations, Standards, and Technologies for Reliable Identification and Authentic Electronic Signatures.”
Eminent experts from government, business, and academia will present topics from these areas.
The ZEIDES Conference is a must-attend event for anyone responsible for effective, authentic, secure, and reliable digitization of business and administrative processes in both the public and private sectors.
